The CCHC, led by Twila Brase, was the leading voice in exposing the uninformed, unconsented harvest of infant DNA for a government database in Minnesota. That resulted in blocking legislation to retroactively permit that activity and prohibit it.

The National Center for Policy Analysis puts out a Daily Policy Digest on the issues of the day. The Digest connects to diverse sources of research. The organization is supported by contributions but the service is free. They offer a special separate connection to the John Goodman Healthcare Blog at the moment as well.

Terry M. Moe and John E. Chubb will be speaking at a luncheon sponsored by the Center of the American Experiment.They have a new book Liberating Learning. They contend that technology will make schools better by replacing the "dead hand of monopoly with the dyanmism of diversity and competition." The public is welcome.
